Shelley is the latest addition to the Icon Reputation team, with an extensive background in strategic communications and public policy.
She has worked at the highest levels of state and federal government and most recently in the UK, where she was a Senior Manager in External Affairs for The Careers and Enterprise Company (The CEC), creating job opportunities across disadvantaged areas.
Shelley was an advisor to federal Opposition Leader Bill Shorten for four years. She was in a key advisory and strategic role, including liaison with caucus and social policy portfolios. She then worked as ministerial advisor to Victoria’s Minister for Women and Industrial Relations, responsible for issues management and media liaison.
At The CEC, Shelley worked extensively with British media, business and the education sector, and developed strategic engagement campaigns to inspire and prepare young people for work and shift intergenerational disadvantage. She also oversaw a team which developed a series of videos, blogs and social media campaigns promoting CEC’s work.
