Icon welcomes a new national Director of Communications and Public Relations

Fiona Forbes will lead the Public Relations team, guided by more than 30 years’ experience with government and corporate clients.

Most recently, Fiona led Ogilvy PR’s Corporate and Government Practices as Managing Director. At Ogilvy, Fiona specialised in designing and delivering communications, marketing strategies to enable transformational culture change, stakeholder engagement and address complex communication challenges

Alongside her agency experience, her background in health, higher education and government projects fortify Icon’s existing strengths in these sectors. Her past clients include CSIRO, Education Department, ATO, Transport NSW, NSW Health, Major Road Projects Victoria, University of Newcastle, and National Ehealth Transition Authority. Fiona has also held leadership positions at BUPA, Tourism Australia and the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse cancer treatment organisation.

At Icon, Fiona will lead the Communications and Public Relations practice, providing deep expertise in designing communications and engagement strategies to assist organisations undergoing major reform and culture change, with a focus on reputation and employee experience.
