Icon Agency leads the Australian pack as a finalist for 2021 Global Agencies of The Year by PRovoke Media. The agency’s purpose-driven public awareness campaign for Red Nose and the Stillbirth Foundation, Still Six Lives, has also been ranked amongst the top 40 campaigns of 2021 in the Global SABRE Awards.
Being one of the five finalists in the subcategory of Corporate/Financial PR Agencies of the Year, Icon represents the only Australia-headquartered agency in the mix.
A truly international honour, the 2021 Global Agencies category saw more than 500 submissions from over 20 markets around the globe – from the US and UK to Australia and Korea.
Joanne Painter, Icon’s managing director said, “The nomination itself is a privilege that everyone in the team should feel proud of, as it places us among the best-of-the-best global communication firms – an incredible achievement.
“It’s also a testament to the team’s impressive talent, as well as unwavering dedication to achieving above and beyond for clients, despite the challenges and uncertainties over the past year.”
Among more than 5,500 entries from over 60 countries around the world, Icon’s ‘Still Six Lives’ campaign has stood out as a top 40 campaign for the 2021 Global SABRE Awards. The final ranking will be unveiled in late October.
“Purposeful campaigns are a key focus of our work, and we are committed to using good PR for positive impacts on our community. Helping reduce stillbirth, Still Six Lives stands as one of our recent and prime examples,” added Joanne.
“It’s been a fruitful year so far on the awards front for Icon. Being nominated for global agencies of the year and prized for a top 40 campaign is undoubtedly the cherry on top.”
As one of the most highly awarded agencies in 2021, Icon has brought home more than a dozen national and global accolades, such as the coveted Australasian Consultancy of the Year for 2021 along with two Gold and two Bronzes from the PR Awards Asia 2021.
